Interference Evaluation Methodology

item_em-0

Coordination Area Calculation: Confirm that the coordination distance is calculated as per SF.1006 using the correct propagation models (P.452). Verify that all existing Fixed Service (FS) stations within the area have been identified.

item_em-1

Power Flux-Density (PFD) Limits: For space-to-earth links, verify that the PFD at the earth's surface does not exceed the limits defined in RR Article 21.

item_em-2

Interference Margin: Confirm that the aggregate interference power (I/N) from all satellite systems is < 10% of the thermal noise power.

Specific Sharing Scenario: 3.5 GHz (FWA/VSAT)

item_em-3

SF.1486 Compliance: If using Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and VSAT in the 3.4-3.7 GHz band, confirm the implementation of interference mitigation (e.g., shielding, site selection).

item_em-4

Guard Band Verification: Audit the frequency separation between the top of the FWA band and the bottom of the VSAT band.

HAPS / GSO FSS Coordination (47 GHz)

item_em-5

SF.1481-1 Verification: For High-Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS), verify the pfd criteria to protect Geostationary (GSO) satellite systems as per SF.1481.

item_em-6

Antenna Discrimination: Confirm that the earth station antennas have sufficient side-lobe discrimination to reject HAPS signals.
