Tactical Mapping: 3GPP Release 15 (5G Baseline)

This document provides the Tactical Realization of ITU Recommendations for 3GPP Rel-15 networks (5G Phase 1).

🏛️ Architecture & Core Security

  • ITU Rec: Y.3101 (Requirements for IMT-2020)
  • 3GPP Implementation: TS 23.501 (SBA) & TS 33.501 (Security Arch).
  • Key Tactical Features:
    • SEPP (Security Edge Protection Proxy): Realizes itu-t Q.3062 signaling integrity for inter-PLMN (N32) interfaces.
    • AUSF (Authentication Server Function): Realizes itu-t X.1035 authentication requirements via 5G AKA.
    • UPF (User Plane Function): Realizes itu-t X.805 dimension of Communication Security in the data plane.
